Fixed White Screen of Death / Other Improvements coming soon

Recent Improvements:

- I think we have finally fixed the ongoing problem where users ocassional encounter a “White Screen of Death” — a blank page with only a couple of icons. If any users continue to receive this page, please email us so we can revisit this problem.

- We have added 16 more processors to our video transcoding farm. We hope this will translate into faster transcoding and increased ability to grow.

- We have implemented a preemptive transcoding system. This looks for the appearance of videos in search results which are not yet transcoded. When it finds them, it trigers a transcode in anticipation of users wanting to see the video. We hope this will reduce the time and frequency users spend waiting for transcodes.

- The preemptive transcoding system also has functionality to help identify unavailable content in search results. This will help remove content that is no longer available from the upstream content provide, and will reduce the number of videos that appear in search results, but are unavailable on viewing.

Features in the works:

- A completely revamped transcoding system that is far more reliable, and generic to support any video site

- Better and more generic web indexing, to keep our video records completely up to date, and allow us to quickly add desired video site (RedTube, Spankwire, etc).

- Better preemptive detection of unavailable videos

- Other back-end improvements to our services to improve performance, reliability and scalability

- Other features that are secret for now, but will make for a really cool surprise :-)

Thanks for continuing to bear with us. While development has been slow due to a tiny staff, we are nearing a new version of the site. Please continue to submit your comments, questions, bugs and suggestions. While we do not have time to reply to many of them, we do read every single one and consider all of the suggestions.

  4. I love this site! I just wish some of the videos weren’t always qued. And you should try to transcode some videos from redtube. That is one awesome site that I would to see on here. Keep the good work!!

  10. The search hasn’t been working very well for me. Search results seem way less specific than they used to and alot of the same videos come up regardless of what i search for.

Queing da video ends da interest n da site . End dat . Second , add videos from all da porn tubes there as well as other sites . Cuz 99 % of da guyz n galz r here for this . Plus add feature for making list of videos of individual person so dat one can keep track of his videos .
