Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that we have been receiving a lot of feedback from users regarding two issues, and we are in the process of fixing both of them.
1) Site does not work properly at times. Users either receive a blank webpage or some kind of timeout/temporary service error/Internal Server error/etc.
Solution: We are currently working on some site optimizations to allow our servers to support more user requests. We hope to have these rolled out in the next few days, so please bare with us for now. If you get one of these errors, please try reloading the page as one our webservers should open up shortly thereafter.
2) Xtube and other sites have a majority of their transcodes failing. This seems particularly apparent for the porn sites.
Solution: This is also being worked on as part of a new transcoding mechanism. Due to a very small support staff, this project is taking longer than expected, but we hope to have the new and more robust transcoding mechanism in place shortly. In the meantime, we are also investigating various options to make transcodes more reliable for adult sites.
I will keep everyone posted as these problems get resolved. In the meantime, please continue to provide your feedback as that helps us prioritize site updates.
Update: April 3, 2008
As of this morning, we have rolled out changes in response to #1. These changes include a new lightweight web server for videos, so that our existing hardware can accommodate many more simultaneous requests. Please let us know if you encounter any problems watching or saving videos with our new setup. Also keep us posted as to whether or not this solves the problem of server/site unavailability, or if you continue to encounter any problems of this nature.
We are continuing to work on solutions to #2 and are continuing to investigate additional ways to make the site better, faster and more stable.

great site! Really great! But would it be possible to get higer resolution videos in the future? Or at least better sound? Just wondering. Also could you have user video upload? That would be exelent. Love your site guys!

Has anybody that is using T-Mobile as a carrier been receiving the http error 403: forbidden message on any video?

Everyone,
We have been getting a lot of feedback about 403 errors. If you receive this error, can you please send us a link to the video you are trying to save? This would be very helpful in our debugging of this problem.

I keep getting “This video cannot be prepared at this time. Check back later.” This is happening for every video that I select unless it is in the being watched now section. What is wrong?
