” icon that has been added to the “share” section below each video. It links to a new TinyTube sub-site that we released today called TinyTube Discuss! and is viewable directly at http://d.tinytube.net. Make sure to check out the “Upcoming videos” section.
If you’re familiar with the concept of social news, you’ll immediately recognize the similarity to Digg, Reddit, and our favorite mobile-specific site for rating other mobile sites, TapTap. For everyone else, it basically works like this. You search, find a video you like, and you click the “” to add the video to discuss it. Other users can vote it up/down depending on how much they like/dislike it, and can also add comments. You get the prestige of having found the video first, and can make friends with other members who have interest in similar videos. You can also vote/comment on other members’ content.
This is a good way to keep track of videos you already watched and liked, and to share them with others. Have at it!
Update Nov 29: We turned on a user called “autobot” that will automatically create entries on the discussion site when you click through. This should help seed the site with some interesting content and get the ball rolling. You’re still able to bookmark/vote on the items, but you can’t comment and don’t get credit with the other members for having found the item unless you log in. We’ll leave it on until we get more registered users. Also, turned down the number of voted necessary to promote a story to the frontpage from 5 votes to 1 vote. Likewise, we’ll ratchet this back up once the discussion activity level increases.

Hello admin,
Seems it has few bugs. After creating an account I posted a video. But it displayed - invalid or blocked url. Then i found, it is posted by autobot.
Another problem is i am unable to login. After pressing the submit button it redirected to home page without login.
PS - i am browsing from Nokia 6680 with cookie enabled.

Thanks, can you try again? Looks like the autobot was having some troubles, that was a late night hack to get some content on the site quickly — we’ll probably disable the bot soon.

No, it is not fixed yet. After clicking the discuss icon it shows me - Url is invalid or blocked.
Still can’t login.

That’s a feature, not a bug, believe it or not.
If TinyTube detects that the file has been deleted upstream (from, say, metacafe.com), then it removes it from search results.
So the video wasn’t available in the first place, and there’s nothing you can do to make it come back. Just pick another one.

the problem that ive been having with tinytube on my iphone, does actually not occure on the new iphones that are cheaper and have the wifi music store. So somehow someone needs to figure out what the problem with the old one is and how to fix it.

Makes sense. I expect it’s a software update thing. There may be some older versions of the phone firmware/whatever that give the error.
I tried to get this bug to show up on one of the original iPhones and couldn’t do it. I’ll find out what revision # it is.

I used to get on the site before from my bb pearl and was able to see all of the videos fullscreen. Now I have a curve and could only see the videos in the middle of the screen eventhough fullscreen is on. Could anyone help me?
